Another episode of “Marriage at First Sight” is behind us, in which couples are matched by experts based on their characters, features and lifestyles. The program participants see each other for the first time at their civil wedding, and later, during the program, they face relationship challenges and decide whether the person chosen by the experts is “the one” for them.
One of the couples in the latest edition are Kasia and Maciej, who – apart from Kasia’s small accusations that her partner is a bit infantile for his age (Maciej is 40 years old) – did quite well in the program. The matched participants got along well and felt comfortable in each other’s company. They tried to make this relationship really work.
Already during the program we could see that Maciej was irritated by cameras. He often stated that he regretted not having met Kasia without the presence of television, and when the production did not allow him to remove the microphone for hockey training, he became very angry.
In the latest episode, the participant finally couldn’t stand it anymore. He shouted strong words at the film crew. “The questions asked to me are always slanderous or aimed at looking for a cheap sensation that doesn’t exist. So I won’t take part in it anymore. I have not fought for my good name for forty years to now be plunged into one program for which I don’t get a penny,” he said.
“Kasia and I could have been the coolest couple from the first edition, but there is no point in looking for any dramas, inventing any contexts. It makes no sense. And I am put in a very bad light, very unfounded. Even Kasia has questions that attack me and I do not agree to it. And if I am shown in the program from a bad and untrue side, I will draw consequences from it. It’s not that I’m upset. I’m extremely disappointed. I’m so terribly sorry, that we didn’t get someone who wanted to make something cool out of this program, he was just looking for some bullshit just to get a kick out of it. Kasia and I were super cool people. You could have shown it from the beginning because of you, I don’t want to show it because of you, because you disappointed me a lot.
And how did Kasia react to her husband’s words? Viewers are delighted with her attitude because she showed great patience and understanding. She doesn’t blame Maciej for leaving her alone. Kasia will not give up further participation in the experiment, but she understands her husband’s behavior.
“When he told me that he was resigning, I can’t say that I was very surprised because he had warned me a little earlier. It was clear to me that I wasn’t going to resign and that I would be left alone, and that’s all. And how do I feel about it? I have accepted it. I have absolutely no problem with it. I don’t feel like he let me down or disappointed me. None of those things. I want the best for him. I want him to feel comfortable,” she confessed.
As we mentioned at the beginning – viewers were not delighted with this season of the show. Compared to the previous installments, they accused the creators of being boring. After the episode in which Maciej resigned from the program was broadcast, they were surprised by his decision. According to many, he was not portrayed in a bad light at all. Moreover, they don’t understand why he signed up for the show if everything about it irritates him.
“Maciej, don’t worry, Krystian is way ahead of you in the ranking”, “Cameras bother him, and yet he came to the program with cameras and various montages”, “What is Maciek’s problem with the fact that they portray him badly, which I missed”, “This season is a failure… I don’t understand what he means, where he is supposedly put in such a bad light. Probably too sensitive about himself”, “I have the impression that the boy is afraid of something that could come to light” – we read in the comments below one of the posts on the official Instagram of the program.
There were also flattering comments about Kasia. “Kasia is very classy, a great girl”, “Kasia – the top of this season and the top of all previous ones. Class, calm, resourceful”, “Kasia, she is the only participant there who behaves naturally and without any nerves, and is the best among all of them. This girl would have finally found someone on her own without anyone’s help”, “Kasia is a wonderful woman, she is great to look at and equally pleasant to listen to” – wrote the Internet users.
