“The Sims” is a life simulator created by Maxis, the first installment of which was released in 2000. Since then, the series has had three sequels and a whole lot of expansions. The game was characterized by a lack of plot – the player decided about the fate and actions of his characters.
Kate Herron will be behind the camera of “The Sims” (first season “Loki”second season “The Last of Us”), who wrote the screenplay with Briony Redman. Robbie will be one of the producers. Electronic Arts, the game’s publisher, will also be involved in the work on the adaptation.
“The Sims” was supposed to hit the big screen in 2007. At that time, Brian Lynch was working on the adaptation for 20th Century Fox. The project was frozen for years. It was canceled after Fox was purchased by Disney in 2017.
No release date has been announced for Herron. It is also unknown whether Robbie will appear in it.
