Marcin Bosak was born on September 9, 1979 in Łódź, where he spent his childhood and youth. From an early age, he showed talent and enthusiasm for competition, which brought him title of Polish junior karate champion. The athletic discipline and determination he developed through training later proved helpful in his acting career. Although Bosak eventually abandoned karate to focus on the stage, his fighting spirit remained with him forever.
Bosak took his first steps in acting in the early 90s, but his breakthrough came in 2003, when He made his debut in the popular series “M jak miłość” as Kamil Gryc. This role brought him enormous popularity and recognition from viewers. He quickly became one of the most recognizable television actors in Poland. Fans of series may also recognize him from such productions as “Czwarta Rząda”, “Odwróceni”, “Londyńczycy”, “Hotel 52”, “1983”, “Chyłka” or the series “Rojst”.
After graduating from the Theatre Academy in Warsaw, Bosak joined the Dramatic Theatre, where he had the opportunity to perform in ambitious productions. One of his most important theatre roles was the character of Judas in the play “Żęgnaj, Judaszu”, which earned him a distinction at the Theatre Schools Festival. Over the years, the actor has gained recognition from both critics and audiences, playing in places such as the Studio Theatre, where he became famous for his monodrama “Rachatłukum”.
His film career also includes bold roles, such as the character of Bankster in the film “Polityka” by Patryk Vega. In this role, Bosak proved that he is able to convey not only emotions, but also the complexity of characters related to real political events. He has starred in numerous films, including “Tylko mnie kochaj”, “Ciacho”, “80 milion”, “Pokot” and “Zabawa, zabaw”. His latest production was “Biała odwaga” directed by Marcin Koszałka.
Bosak also works successfully as a dubbing actor. His voice can be heard in many world productions, such as “The Avengers”, where he played Loki, or “Star Wars” as Poe Dameron. His distinctive voice has become recognizable to a wide range of fans, among others, thanks to the roles of Spider-Man and Moomin.
Unfortunately, the actor’s personal life was not without drama. In 2006, he learned that he was seriously ill, which turned out to be one of the most difficult challenges in his life. Six years of treatment and a complicated surgery meant he had to learn to walk again. The actor, thanks to his determination, returned to health and professional fulfillment.
Marcin Bosak was in a relationship with actress Monika Pikuła for 16 years, with whom he has two sons. After their breakup, in 2018 the actor got together with Maria Dębska, and their wedding in 2020 became a media event. Unfortunately, their marriage did not survive the test of time and in 2022 the couple divorced.
