Two of the production’s great stars – Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried, as well as director Ol Parker – have already positively commented on the return to the set of “Mamma Mia 3”. With the appearance of rumors about the sequel, discussions began to take place about the potential cast of the new production.

In an interview with ABC News, Amanda Seyfried revealed that there are intense discussions about Sabrina Carpenter joining the cast of Mamma Mia 3. The actress agreed that “technically” the young singer could play her daughter, even though they are only 13 years apart.
But Seyfried had an answer to that too – she said that “age is a concept you can forget about,” especially after Cher’s performance as Meryl Streep’s mother, even though the two women are only three years apart.
“If Sabrina Carpenter wants to play my daughter, I will make it happen. (…) I’m a big fan.”
It is a film adaptation of the musical of the same title, which is based on the songs of the Swedish group ABBA.
The story is about Donna (Meryl Streep), who runs a small hotel on one of the Greek islands. Sophie’s daughter will be getting married soon (Amanda Seyfried), whose great dream is for her father to walk her down the aisle. Unfortunately, the girl doesn’t know who it could be. To find out the truth, she decides to send invitations to three men with whom her mother dated many years ago.
