Magdalena Cwenówna she was a theater, TV and film actress. Privately – the fourth and last wife of an outstanding creator Adam Hanuszkiewicz. The actress died on February 21, 2024 after a long fight with cancer.
Andrzej Golimont, a well-known Warsaw local government official and family friend, wrote about her death on his Facebook profile. Then this sad news also appeared, among others: on other profiles, including New Adam Hanuszkiewicz Theater in Warsaw.
“After a year of heroic fight against cancer, Magdalena Cwenówna-Hanuszkiewicz passed away today (21/02/2024) at 9:04 a.m. There will be no black and white. Magda was a colorful bird until the end,” Golimont wrote on Facebook.
We last had the opportunity to watch her on the small screen in 2017 as Olga Zamojska in the series “Doctors to Start”.
Magdalena Cwenówna was born on May 14, 1954 in Piotrków Trybunalski. She graduated from the Acting Department of the National Film School in Łódź in 1976.
She performed in the following theaters: Powszechny in Łódź (1976-89), Nowy in Warsaw (1989-2007). Since 2007, she has been an actress at the Rampa Theater in Targówek in Warsaw.
She has played many roles in theater performances and television series.
You could admire her in such productions as “Klan”, “Barwy Happiness”, “Na dobre i na evil”, “Na Wspólnej”, “Doctors for the start”.
She was the fourth wife of Adam Hanuszkiewicz and was with him until his death in 2011. It was for her that the outstanding director Adam Hanuszkiewicz left his previous life partner, Zofia Kucówna, in 1990. It was a high-profile relationship – Magdalena Cwenówna was younger than Hanuszkiewicz’s daughter.
After his death in 2011, Cwenówna recalled that it was difficult for her to live without her beloved.
“Adam ensnared me, with him no career was important to me. I loved him very much,” she confessed in 2000 in an interview with “Angora”
It is not yet known when and where the actress will be buried.
