Before Bartłomiej Wróblewski first time he met Małgorzata Kożuchowskahas been her loyal fan for years.
“Like every Pole, I saw ‘Kiler’ 20 times and ‘Kiler 2’ 20 times. Did I like her? Always! But as an actress, like someone far away, out of reach, out of choice. I have never thought of her it’s past that maybe…” – he said during one of the interviews for the “Viva!” magazine.
The meeting took place unexpectedly in the Vatican, during the funeral of Pope John Paul II. At that time, however, Wróblewski was still a young student who was ashamed to approach the actress and only watched her from a distance. After returning to Poland, he decided to buy tickets for every performance with Kożuchowska’s participation. After the performances, he left flowers for her and finally… a note. The actress agreed to the first official face-to-face meeting.
“I saw a boy on the stairs. God, he’s so young, he crosses my mind. I thought a mature man was sending flowers. Stupid situation. What should I do? We’re meeting the next day in the Old Town. He told me the whole story. It seemed magical to me. He chose tea for me. “Just leaves. I went on vacation for three weeks. I didn’t give him my phone number. I said goodbye,” she said Kożuchowska in the same interview for “Viva!”.
However, Wróblewski had to wait a while for the phone call…
However, once the date happened, they quickly began to reciprocate their feelings. The man decided to get engaged in the Vatican, where he saw the actress live for the first time.
The couple got married after two years of engagement, in 2008. The wedding took place in the church of St. Cross in Warsaw. At the time of the ceremony, the actress was 37 years old and her beloved was 31. However, the age difference was not an obstacle to creating a stable and happy relationship.
The actress dreamed of becoming a mother for a long time. Despite many failed attempts, she still had hope and relied on natural methods of conception. “I really want to become a mother, but I won’t force anything on nature. If something as beautiful as motherhood is given to me, I will be happy,” she said in interviews years ago. Ultimately, she managed to achieve her goal, and in 2014 she gave birth to her first and only son – Jan Franciszek. As it turns out, the choice of names was not accidental. John is in honor of John Paul II, while Francis refers to one of his successors who is currently still fulfilling his duties as pope.
Małgorzata Kożuchowska does not often appear with her husband in public places. As a family, they are concerned about maintaining privacy, even if it requires not attending film or theater premieres. They also do not publish photos together on social media. To this day, however, they are a harmonious couple, surrounded by mutual love.
