Tom Hiddleston’s adventure with portraying the Nordic God began in 2011 with the premiere of the movie “Thor”. Later, the actor repeated the role of Loki in the continuations of “Avengers” (2012), “Thor: Dark World” (2013), “Avengers: Ultron’s Time” (2015), “Thor: Ragnarok” (2017), “Avengers: War without borders” (2018), “Avengers: End of the game” (2019) and “Ant-Man and Osa: Kwantumia” (2023).
Over the years he gained the sympathy of viewers, so Marvel did not want to completely give up Loki’s adventures. In 2021 a series about Thor’s mischievous brother came out, who had two seasons. On the screen Tom Hiddleston partned, among others Sophia di Martino, Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan, Owen Wilson and Tara Strong.
Tom Hiddleston recently gave the interview “Comicbook”, in which he shared what Loki awaits next. In the end, Marvel Studios recently announced the cast “Avengers: Doomsday”, which also included a star portraying the Nordic God.
“(I am) very, very excited,” said Hiddleston. “It is really amazing that I can talk about it, because I am mainly in a situation where I know and I can not say anything … It was an unusual chapter of my life in which I played Loki, and it has not yet ended.”
Other confirmed cast members are Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, a winter soldier, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and others.
Several actors from the world “X-Men” also return, which officially joins the MCU in “Doomsday”. Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kesley Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, James Marsden as Cyclops and Rebecca Romijn as mystique found themselves in the cast.
“Avengers: Doomsday” is to go to cinemas on May 1, 2026. The sequel is later planned – “Avengers: Secret Wars”.
