Lech Sołuba was born on January 20, 1948. His sister Monika Sołubianka was also an actress. As was his famous uncle Roman Kłosowski.
In 1969, Sołuba graduated from the Acting Department of the State Higher School of Theatre in Warsaw. In the same year, he made his stage debut in Henryk Bardijewski’s “Little Comedy” directed by Kazimierz Rudzki.
He was a member of the ensembles of the Polish Theatre in Warsaw and the National Theatre. He also collaborated with the Ochota Theatre.
He first appeared on screen as a Slovak in an episode of “Przygody psa Cywila”. Shortly afterwards he appeared as a member of the film crew in one of the most memorable scenes in the cult “Miś” by Stanisław Bareja.

Sołuba also often appeared in TV series. He played in “Kolumby”, “Czterdziestolatek”, “Dom”, “Rancz” and “Plebania”.
His last role was as Władysław Gomułka in the 2021 film “Gierek” directed by Michał Węgrzyn.
