Julia Bicknell (“13 Reasons Why”) is working on the script for the new miniseries. Laura Dern (“Little Women,” “Marriage Story”) and Margaret Qualley (“The Cleaning Lady,” “Kinds of Kindness”) are set to star. Together with Jessica Rhoades, the actresses will also take over as producers. At the moment, it is not known who else will join the cast of the project.
The title of the new Netflix miniseries in the media also functions in the original version – “Forever, Interrupted”. The bestselling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, which the project will be adapted, was published in 2013.
The plot is about Susan (Margaret Qualley), a young woman who is in love with Ben. After the wedding, just when they hope to be together forever, the man unexpectedly dies. Only then does he meet his mother-in-law, Susan (Laura Dern), who had no idea that her son had gotten married. The story is to be presented in two intertwining and complementary timelines. One is supposed to show the fate of a loving couple, the other the events that took place after the two women met.
The start date of filming for the series is not known yet.
