Arena Toruń was filled with the sounds of timeless hits by Budka Suflera and songs written by Romuald Lipko for the biggest stars. On stage they performed, among others: Christopher and Piotr Cugowski, Ursula, Alicja Majewska, Izabela Trojanowska, Anna Wyszkoni, Mateusz Ziółko and Anna Bratekaccompanied by the Team of Champions. He hosted the concert Maciej Rockcalling the hero of the evening “a modest giant of Polish music.”
The evening began with archival words from Lipka himself, causing great emotion among the audience and artists. “The fact that I was born the way I was was the reason why I generate certain sounds. Talent does not mean that you will always produce wonderful results,” the composer once said.

Lost Generation with new announcements. Musical legends will perform in Krakow
As Krzysztof Cugowski recalled, listening to his friend’s voice during the concert was extremely moving for him:
“I knew Romek for 63 years. And now, when I saw that he was speaking to me from the loudspeakers, I felt strange, because suddenly, in some sense, he became real,” the artist confessed in an interview with “Hello tu Polsat”.
The most beautiful melodies of Romuald Lipka
The concert program resembled a musical journey through decades of Polish song. Krzysztof Cugowski performed, among others: “Silence Like This”, “The Shadow of a Big Mountain” and “There is a Lonely House”, and his son Piotr – “For the Last Penny” and “Time of Lead”. Alicja Majewska captivated the audience with her emotional performance of “Takie Tango”, and Izabela Trojanowska – with her classics “Everything I Want Today” and “As Many Truths as Lies”.
Urszula recalled how much she owes to the composer – and sang her unforgettable “Dandelions, Kites, Wind” and “Raspberry King”. “Memory of him is possible thanks to the songs he left behind. Because there are nice melodies, and melodies will always defend themselves,” said the artist.
There were also performances by younger performers – Anna Bratek with the moving “Dead Sea” and Mateusz Ziółko, who performed “Jolka, Jolka Remember” and “Bal All Saints”.
Friends remember the composer
Romuald Lipko was not only a collaborator but also a close friend to many artists. “He was a very cheerful man, intelligent, his jokes were ironic but warm. He was a great leader at our meetings after concerts,” Urszula recalled.
Alicja Majewska, in turn, emphasized his great sensitivity and musical talent:
“Unique, great songs, simply hit after hit. Romuald Lipko had the talent of a truly world-class composer,” said the artist.
Izabela Trojanowska, who worked with him already in the 1980s, had a similar opinion:
“He arranged the composition in a very symphonic way. I used to say that he was our Mozart of rock music. All his songs are about something,” the singer recalled.
Although five years have passed since Romuald Lipka’s death, his presence is still felt among his friends and fans. “The fact that he is not there is a joke. I don’t believe that he is not there. I am convinced that he is there somewhere and will be present at this concert in spirit,” said Izabela Trojanowska.
The concert ended with a symbolic performance of “Time of Lead”, during which archival photos of the composer and those who are no longer with us appeared on the screen – including: Zbigniew Wodecki or Felicjan Andrzejczak.
A memory that never fades away
As Krzysztof Cugowski emphasized, such a concert on All Saints’ Day has a special meaning:
“In Poland, we remember the dead and honor their memory. We need to be careful about this, because many traditional things have already disappeared from our lives. It is important that this day remains in our lives as it was before.”
“Landscape Without You – Romuald Lipko” was not only a musical spectacle, but also a moving lesson in memory of an artist who co-created the history of Polish music.
