“On November 10, artists representing different generations and different musical styles will meet at TAURON Arena Kraków. They will perform songs arranged especially for this concert by Andrzej Smolik, the artistic director of the show. There will be well-known hits in completely new versions,” announce the event organizers.
“It all started in 2024, when TAURON Arena Kraków, well known to music fans in our country – which every day hosts the biggest stars from Poland and abroad – celebrated its 10th anniversary. On this occasion, the first To Kraków Creates Metamorphoses concert was organized, during which songs by Krakow artists – Kora Jackowska, Andrzej Zaucha, Marek Grechuta and Zbigniew Wodecki – were heard in new, completely unknown arrangements. The event, which on paper seemed like a typical concert, went far beyond its standard framework live – this is how they talk about the history of the concert.
“Kraków creates metamorphoses”: what do we already know?
The following people will appear on stage: Krzysztof Zalewski, Katarzyna Nosowska, Grzegorz Turnau, Mela Koteluk, Piotr Rogucki, Natalia Przybysz, Kasia Kurzawska, Dawid Tyszkowski, Wiktor Waligóra, Kev Fox and Atom String Quartet.
From the latest reports, we know that the audience will hear, among others: “If you know what I want to say…” Nosowska, later the singer will also perform a duet with Grzegorz Turnau in the song “Who?”. Piotr Rogucki will face the classic “Fluffy Teddy Bears” Axes, and Turnau will sing the famous song with Krzysztof Zalewski “Nothing’s really happening”.
The mentioned one will watch over everything Andrzej Smolik. “Whenever I have the opportunity to work with Andrzej, I am confident that it will be great, but also curious and fascinated by how he works. He has a wonderful team. Sound, taste and taste are things you absolutely cannot worry about when it comes to Andrzej,” says Natalia Przybysz about him.
“I love his musical abilities, but also his spirit and sense of humor. Working with him is a great pleasure. He also gathers great musicians around him, so it is a kind of sign of quality – we know the concert will be good,” adds Krzysztof Zalewski.
And what can we expect according to the composer himself? “I hope it will be a wonderful, one-of-a-kind concert. Because it is a one-of-a-kind, one-time show – when we turn off the light, it will remain only in our hearts and souls, we will only be able to talk about it. And that is what is beautiful. A huge band, a huge number of Polish stars – young and old, with huge achievements – served in a slightly different way,” says Smolik.
“There will be people there with whom I have already had the pleasure of singing, such as Natalia Przybysz or Grzegorz Turnau, but this time we will try to stand on our heads and show you something completely different. The same songs, but from a completely different angle. I think it will be a lot of fun and it will be an evening unlike any other,” Zalewski tells us.
“Kraków creates metamorphoses”: not only music
The concert will combine music with the unique visual layer for which it is responsible Adam Nyk. “With the image, we want to give further meaning to what will happen on stage. Using visual tools, we can expand contexts, change them and add additional words,” says the artist. “During the concert, I will also improvise with many layers of animation. Together we will follow the music as partners taking this journey together, so that we can all transform according to the concept of metamorphoses,” he adds.
“This is the biggest and best concert this fall. An absolutely unique event. Nothing happens twice! Only once, on November 10, you will be able to see all these unique people who will give an artistic show, both musically and visually. It will be amazing emotions!” – summarizes Małgorzata Marcińska, president of Arena Kraków SA
