“Two weeks ago in Wrocław, we started a humorous painting project during the premiere of ‘True Story’ by Olga Tokarczuk. Two short stories – ‘True Story’ – are interpreted by an extraordinary cast directed by Michał Zadara,” she wrote.
It turns out that Alexandra Grant has Polish rootsand she visited our country with her mother. The artist’s great-grandfather came from Nowa Ruda, so the ladies decided to go there.
“We found there not only deep bonds with her – and mine! – Silesian roots, but also the best ice cream I have ever eaten in my life,” Grant shared. “Mom took with her old family photos that she inherited (her family emigrated to California), so we could find the buildings and the church from family stories. It was amazing to see these places and meet the kind people who create them. I can’t wait to return to this unique place,” we read on her Instagram account.
