Wiktor Fejkiel, Interia Muzyka: You are in the middle of a concert tour, during which you played three sold-out shows in Poland! What are your impressions of your visit to our country?
Catarrhosis: – Poland is great, we liked it very much. Really, each of these three concerts was great fun for us. We are sad that it’s over, because the people were very, very nice – and extremely friendly. However, we hope to return here soon.
Did you expect such popularity in Europe after participating in this year’s Eurovision?
– No, not at all. Let’s start with the fact that we didn’t expect that we would go to Eurovision itself – we would take part in it (laughter). Participating in the preselections was something completely new for us and to this day we are grateful to our Lithuanian listeners that, thanks to their votes, we could represent our country in Basel. And then it all happened like an avalanche…

16th place in the final and a concert tour throughout Europe…
– We still can’t believe it. Just getting to the finals was already a huge success for us, and taking 16th place sounds quite good (laughter). We also look at it through the prism of what kind of music we represent – if you take that into account, what we have achieved is truly crazy.
Did you have any doubts whether to apply for pre-selection? After all, your music deviates significantly from typical “Eurovision pop”.
– Since we wanted to try something new as a team, the idea of going to the pre-selection appeared quite naturally. We deliberately chose the most “edgy” song to show our truest side. We had never been on TV before, so it was a completely new experience for us – we treated it purely as an experiment, without any expectations. We knew that we were different from the music that usually goes there, but I think we were received quite well and Eurovision needs more musical diversity.
Eurovision has shown many times that you don’t have to win to be recognized throughout Europe. The Joker Out example is very good here, although, as you say, they create completely different music…
– Playing concerts and this international recognition is the greatest reward we could dream of – not only in Lithuania, but also abroad. This is something wonderful.
Do you already have specific plans for your debut album? After all, you have been actively releasing music since 2020, and you still don’t have a longplay in your output…
– The album is basically finished – we can reveal that (laughter). We plan to release it at the beginning of next year, we don’t know exactly when yet, but we didn’t want to delay it too much.
Do you still write only in Lithuanian?
– Yes, all the songs on it are in Lithuanian. When we started creating it, we didn’t expect that people who didn’t know the language would listen to it. However, I think that it has its charm now that we have not given up our native language and, in a sense, we promote Lithuanian throughout Europe, and we do not sing in English. Maybe in the future there will be space for experiments and trying something new and establishing deeper contact with foreign audiences… However, what if the Lithuanian language is the inseparable foundation of our music…?
So, to sum up – the plan for next year: release an album.
– Not even next year, but its first months (laughter). However, later we are not slowing down and we plan to be somewhat active again in Lithuania and throughout Europe, and we do not rule out a quick return to Poland.
