Justine Lupe was born on May 31, 1989 in New York, but was raised in Colorado. In 2007, she took a theater course at the Denver School of the Arts, and then continued her acting education at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York, from which she graduated in 2011.

Lupe, playing the role of Connor Roy’s partner and later wife, was appreciated for her skillful combination of irony and empathy.
Since 2024, the actress has been playing one of the main roles in the Netflix series “Nobody wants this”where she plays the sister of Kristen Bell’s character. Her performance was warmly received by both viewers and critics.

Last year, Justine Lupe surprised fans with a sensational confession on Instagram – it turned out that she was pregnant while working on the set. The actress was expecting a baby throughout the first half of filming, and no one on the crew knew about it until a “costume mishap” occurred one evening.
“I want to point out that the cast and crew found out about my pregnancy when it was safe to share,” Lupe wrote on Instagram. “As women who have carried a baby know, there is a greater risk of miscarriage in the first months of pregnancy, so it is emotionally difficult to talk about it too early. I wanted to clarify this because everyone on set made sure I felt comfortable and safe,” added the actress, then thanking Kristen Bell, Ben Foster and other crew members for their support during this unique time.
Justine Lupe’s daughter, Ellis, was born in August 2024. In February 2025, the “Nobody Wants This” star married visual artist Tyson Mason. On “The Jennifer Hudson Show” she talked about the moment when she told her sister, Kristen Bell, the happy news about her pregnancy.
“I told Kristen about it first,” Lupe said. “I remember that she invited me to her place to train with her, which is funny in itself, considering that I was pregnant. I told her that I was expecting a baby. She was wearing a mask at the time and I remember how she went completely crazy with happiness, running around the house with that mask on,” she added.
