Junior Eurovision 2024: A surprising decision has been made regarding the organization of the competition. Where will it take place?

At the end of November 2023, it was organized in Nice (France). 21st Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The winner was the hosts’ representative Zoé Clausure with the song “Cœur” (check!). Polish singer Maja Krzyżewska (“I Just Need a Friend” – listen!) took sixth place in the final classification.

For France, it was the third victory in the competition, and achieved in a short period of time (2020, 2022 and 2023). Thus, this country equalized the number of wins with Georgia. Poland has won twice so far (2018 and 2019) thanks to Roxie Węgiel and Viki Gabor.

After Zoé Clauzure’s victory, information quickly appeared that France would not be interested in organizing the next edition. The local public broadcaster intends to focus on promotion Slimane during the “adult” Eurovision in May in Sweden and the broadcast of the Olympic Games.

European Broadcasting Union (EBU) together with the Spanish television RTVE announced that this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Spain. The date of the event is not known yet (it is known that it will be November or December) or the city where it will be organized. Let us remind you that in 2023 she will represent Spain Sandra Valero with the song “Lovia” took second place (Look!).

So far, Spain has never organized Junior Eurovision – it has the only edition of the “adult” Eurovision, in 1969 the competition took place in Madrid.

The Netherlands and Italy have already confirmed their participation in this year’s edition. TVP is preparing the next installment of the program “A chance for success. Junior Eurovision” – this is how the Polish representative to the competition was selected in recent years.
