In an interview for “The New York Times”, Jenna Ortega spoke about the painful experiences and consequences of improper use of the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence. For this reason, she decided to close her account on the X platform (formerly Tweeter). Initially, the actress thought that social media would help her further develop her career.
“I had a Twitter account because I thought I had to build my image. I deleted them two or three years ago, after the series aired and I was flooded with absurd images.” – she confessed.
Ortega has been the victim of numerous harmful photo manipulations of her photos. She has also revealed that she has received numerous inappropriate messages from men that also included inappropriate photos.
The actress is aware that artificial intelligence also offers many positive benefits. The problem is how to use this unique tool.
“AI can be used to create amazing things“I recently read that supposedly AI can detect breast cancer four years before it develops. That’s beautiful. Let’s stick with that. But did I enjoy when I was 14 and had to make a Twitter account and saw dirty fakes of me as a child? No. That’s terrifying. That’s wrong,” she added.
After deleting her X platform account, Ortega has gained more time, which she happily spends in nature. This helps her feel better, relax and cut off negative emotions.
“If you ever wonder what I’m doing, I’m outside. I’m lying in a meadow,” she revealed later in the interview.
Fans of Tim Burton and Jenny Ortega are already rubbing their hands in glee! Next week, on September 6, the sequel to the cult classic will hit theaters. “Beetlejuice” (1988). The cast includes Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci and the aforementioned Ortega.
