Pom Kementieff is known as Mantis from the MCU. Her character appeared in two parts “Guardians of the Galaxy” (2017, 2023), “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018), “Avengers: Endgame” (2019) and “Thor: Love and Thunder” (2022).
On the set of “Guardians of the Galaxy” Klementieff had the opportunity to work with James Gunnco-founder of DC Studios. Appearing at Superhero Comic Con in San Antonio, revealed that after their first collaboration, the topic of Pom joining the DCU came up between them.
There was also speculation that Chris Pratt would be getting a job in the DCU. The actor reportedly even showed up on the set of the studio’s film and expressed his desire to work with James Gunn. Recall that Pratt in Marvel Studios films we saw as Peter Quill, called Star Lord.
Recently on the Threads app James Gunn published an interesting entry, which has caused excitement among superhero movie fans.
“If you had a chance to cast any of the Guardians of the Galaxy stars in a role in the DC Universe, what would it be?” one user asked the director.
“Well, that would be a spoiler, wouldn’t it?” – Gunn replied.
MCU and DCU viewers have started a heated discussion. Is James just joking or is there actually a big surprise coming?
The director previously told Empire that a crossover between the two comic book worlds is more likely now that he’s in charge.adding, “But it’s going to take many years. I think we need to figure out what we’re doing (at DC) first. I’d be lying if I said we haven’t talked about it. But all the discussions have been very, very light and fun.”
Since acquiring DC Studios with Peter Safran in 2022, James Gunn is hard at work directing Superman: Legacy, which will inaugurate a new DC multiverse.
Apparently filming for the new production has already been completed. The premiere is scheduled for July 11, 2025. The cast of the film already includes: David Corenswet (Superman), Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor), Terence Rosemore (Otis), Milly Alcock (Supergirl), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern) and Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane).
