Izabela Olszewska was born on January 3, 1930 in Wola Rzędzińska, in 1954. She graduated from the State Higher School of Acting in Krakow. In the 1954/55 season she performed at the Wybrzeże Theater in Gdańsk, and in 1955-57 at the Ludowy Theater in Kraków – Nowa Huta. In the years 1957-90 she was an actress at the Stary Theater in Krakow. In the years 1975-78, he was vice-rector of the PWST in Kraków.
In addition to her excellent theater roles, Izabela Olszewska also created many unforgettable film roles.
She has participated in such productions as: “Wedding reception” and “As the years pass, as the days pass…” directed by Andrzej Wajda, “Composure” Krzysztof Kieślowski, “Rubella” Jan Kidawa-Błoński, “Fear” Antoni Krauze or “The Passenger” Andrzej Munk.
The actress died on June 3, 2024. She was 94 years old.
