It was supposed to be a great comeback, but it was a false start. Jennifer Lopez is quietly canceling her concerts

Let us remind you that on February 16, the first album in 9 years went on sale Jennifer Lopez – ““This Is Me…Now”which is the highlight of the album released two decades ago “This Is Me…Then”.

Let us remind you that the Latin singer is one of the world’s most popular stars. So far, she has sold over 80 million albums, and her songs have been listened to over 15 billion times online. The music videos were viewed over 18 billion times, and four of Lopez’s songs topped the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The star wrote and recorded “This Is Me…Now” at her home in Los Angeles, and work on the album lasted for the last two years. During the production, she could count on the help of a stellar team of producers, including: With Rogét Chahayed, Angel Lopez and Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman. Additional producer-songwriters were HitBoy, Tay Kieth, Yeti Beats, Carter Lang, Kim “Kaydence” Krysiuk, Jason Derulo and Brandon Riester.

The album also received its visual interpretation thanks to a documentary film “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story”, which was released on the Amazon Prime Video platform. Production directed Dave Meyers is a story about love, as well as a “journey into the depths” of the star’s life and personality. Jennifer Lopez did not regret the creation of the special production, because she initially spent $20 million on its creation. Later, the project was taken over by producers from Amazon.

On the occasion of the premiere of the new album, J.Lo also announced that she would go on her first concert tour in years. In February, it was revealed that the singer would visit all the most important cities in the United States and also visit Canada.

The tour is scheduled to start on June 26 in Orlando and end on August 31 with a concert at the Toyota Center in Houston.

Less than a month later, Rolling Stone magazine announced the cancellation of as many as seven concerts from the star’s tour of the states, which were to take place on August 20-31.

Residents Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans and Houston they were informed in a laconic message about the cancellation of the events for which they had purchased tickets. However, no reason was given for this condition.

“Unfortunately, the organizer has canceled this event. No action is required to obtain a refund,” we read.

J.Lo herself and the concert organizer – Live Nation – did not comment on the canceled concerts. As Entertainment Weekly found out, “the promoter’s logistical problems” led to the cancellation of the performances. It is also said that the mentioned concerts may eventually return on other dates, but at the moment they have been canceled to allow for refunds.

Jennifer Lopez’s North American tour will end with two shows in New York.

While promoting the new album Jennifer Lopez between words she was to announce that “This is Me… Now” might be her last album in her career.

“Don’t say that Benny (Medina – manager Lopez – note ed.), but when I think about it, it may be my last album in my career,” she commented. “I feel like it’s the end of an era for me and the beginning of a new stage. So I’m not saying this is the final end, but I put my whole heart and soul into the current material. I’m excited about it and it cost me a lot,” he said.
