Ian Gelder is dead. Actor known for “Game of Thrones” he was 74 years old

“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart broken into millions of pieces that I announce the passing of my beloved husband and life partner Ian Gelder” – Daniels wrote on Instagram.

“Ian was diagnosed with bile duct cancer in December and died yesterday at 1:07 p.m. I left my job to care for him, but we had no idea it would come so quickly” – continued the mourning spouse of the deceased actor, with whom he had been in a relationship for over 30 years.

“Even when we weren't together, we talked to each other every day. He was the kindest, most generous and most loving man. He was a wonderful, wonderful actor and everyone who worked with him was amazed by his heart and light. I don't know what I'll do without him by my side. He dealt with his illness with such courage, without feeling sorry for himself” Daniels continued.

He attached a photo of them together from last year's holidays. “This photo was taken at Christmas time when I picked him up from the hospital. Even though he had the worst three weeks there, he still radiated joy and love” – the deceased's husband concluded his entry.

Other stars quickly reacted to Daniels' post. “I am so sorry for the incalculable loss of your beloved Ian” – he wrote Richard E.Grant.

“My God, Ben. I have no words. Today all my love is with you. I pray for your peace and comfort. I love you” – commented Matt Lanter.

“Your light and heart are so great, my friend. I'm so sorry. My heart is with you” – wrote singer Missi Pyle.
