How many episodes does season 3 of “The Golden Boy” have? More than the Turkish version

The third season of the Turkish hit “The golden boy” (“Yalı Çapkını”) has exactly 28 episodes in the original Turkish broadcast of Star TV. The series has started September 13, 2024 from episode 74and finished April 4, 2025 with the final 101st episodewhich definitively closed the story of Ferit and Seyran after three seasons on the air.

The third season covers the storyline from episode 74 to 101broadcast on a weekly Friday model, typical of high-budget Turkish drama productions. Each of these episodes lasted on average from 120 to even 150 minutes. Each single episode was almost the length of a full-length cinema production.

Polish numbering looks completely different. TVP divides Turkish episodes into shorter, approximately 45-minute parts adapted to the daily broadcast. As a result, the third season, which in Turkey consisted of 28 installments, is now available in Poland episodes 245 to 333.that is, until 89 episodes. The difference is only due to the adaptation of the duration of the material – in terms of plot, it is the same season. The third series has been resumed in Poland March 11, 2026even though the final in Turkey took place almost a year earlier.

The third season was created under the supervision of a new scriptwriter – Zeynep Bonçewhich took over the story from episode 74. This creative change coincided with a significant time jump in the narrative, introducing more mature versions of the characters and a noticeably darker tone of the story.

TVP resumed broadcasting the third season March 11, 2026starting from the 245th episode according to the Polish numbering. New episodes “Golden Boy” can currently be viewed from Monday to Friday at 2:00 p.m. on TVP1and earlier parts are also available on TVP VOD.

The third season of the series “Golden Boy” ends in Poland at episode 333, which corresponds to Turkish episode 101. This episode concludes the story of the Korhan family after more than two years of presence on the screen, from the premiere on September 23, 2022 until the finale in spring 2025.

The narrative begins with Ferit’s sudden disappearance. His absence immediately disrupts the current rhythm of life in the Korhan family’s seaside residence and mobilizes all its inhabitants to act together. Seyran tries to remain calm, assuring his daughter Duru of her father’s soon return, while Orhan, Abidin and Kazım analyze further clues that may lead them to his whereabouts. The search ends with Ferit being found and returning to his family home.

In conversation with Seyran Ferit recalls the old promise of a common future, emphasizing the maturity of their relationshipdeveloped after years of difficult experience. After this dramatic climax, the story deliberately slows down. The camera takes the viewer to the residence where all members of the family meet again. Information about Halis Aği’s health condition prompts Ferit to travel immediately, and Seyran is confronted with the challenges of being responsible for the younger generation.

The culminating part of the episode takes the form of a personal school project carried out by Teşko. For the purposes of the work, he documents the history of the family by recording conversations with its members – Hatice, Kazım, Esme, Suna, Abidin and Orhan. Each of these statements is a record of memories, old conflicts and reconciliations that shaped the image of the Korhan family.

The last minutes bring a subtle time jump. The viewer observes Duru growing up and then returns to the moment of the first meeting of Seyran and Feritaa scene that, after three seasons, takes on a completely new meaning. This nostalgic montage closes the story with a compositional brace and suggests the continuity of the story, passed down to subsequent generations of the family living in the seaside residence.

In Turkey, the final episode of 101 continued over 2 hours and 30 minutes, which is as long as a full-length cinema filmand the entire third season, after conversion, almost corresponds 70 hours of material screen.

There will be no 4th season of the series “Golden Boy”. Production has officially ended On April 4, 2025, with the broadcast of the 101st episode on Star TVwhich is the finale of the entire story of Ferit and Seyran. The decision to close the story was made during the production of the third season, and Turkish industry media reported about it already in the fall of 2024. Actress Öznur Serçeler, associated with the project from the beginning of its broadcast, directly confirmed in a conversation with journalists that the third season will be the last and no sequel is planned.

The ending of the series was mainly due to changes in viewership results in Turkey. Data analyzed by local measurement systems indicated to a clear weakening of audience interest during the third seriesespecially after developing new plot threads and shifting narrative accents. The decline in popularity in the Friday slot meant that the broadcaster decided to end the story with Episode 101, instead of continuing it in the next season.

The final script was modified at the post-production stage. According to Turkish reports the original version assumed a much more dramatic ending to Ferit’s storylinebut ultimately it was decided to change the direction of the narrative and introduce a time jump covering the subsequent years of the characters’ lives.
