Zach Braff, known to viewers as an unforgettable doctor John “JD” Dorian, officially joins the iconic series prepared by ABC Reboot. Although many years have passed since the end of the broadcast of the original production, fans had hope all the time to return their favorite heroes. Now their dreams will come true. Braff will again play the character who brought him international popularity.
Work on the new version of the series is at an early stage, but the same creators who created the original, including Showrunner Bill Lawrence, are responsible for the project. Despite the busy schedule (Lawrence is currently working on several other hit productions, such as “Ted Lasso” or “Shrinking”), he managed to develop a compromise that allows him to participate in the new “Houses doctors”.
Although it has been talked about the return of the series for a long time, the implementation of the project was not obvious at all. Bill Lawrence, currently associated with a contract with Warner Bros. TV, he had to get a special work permit at the series for the competitive label 20th Television, responsible for Reboot. What about the cast of the original?
Zach Braff is currently the only member of the original cast, whose participation has been officially confirmed. Let us remind you that in the series next to him they appeared, among others Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn. Since the end of the series, Braff has worked many times with Lawren in other productions. Currently, the actor is also preparing to the premiere of the movie “Girls Like Girls”.
