Henry Cavill is known for his love of computer games and the so-called RPG (role-playing games). There is only one series that the actor loves more than “The Witcher” – this is the “Warhammer 40k” universe, which he immerses himself in with his friends and paints the figures necessary for the game with his own hands.
It has been known for some time that the actor is working with Amazon to bring to life a popular strategy game.
A few days ago Henry Cavill he posted on his Instagram a photo he took in front of the store where he bought his first game figures.
“To celebrate some Warhammer news, I decided to go to the place where I bought my first figurine models 30 years ago,” he wrote in the description.
Later in the description, Cavill revealed exciting details about working on the script for the series.
“Together we looked through a lot of amazing characters and old tomes and texts. Our combined efforts led us to a fantastic place for the beginning of our Universe, which was agreed upon by people in high positions at both Amazon and Games Workshop. The starting place will remain a secret for now.”
At the moment, we do not know the details of the production and we do not know the showrunner of the series.
The game “Warhammer 40000” was created in the 1980s and set in the distant future, when the galaxy is divided into more or less nefarious factions. The title is called a pastiche of all the tropes associated with the science fiction genre. It is a strategic battle game with an extensive storyline. The game world is set after 40,000 AD in the area of a spiral galaxy called the Milky Way, at the apogee of the era of human rule in this system.
Even though the Empire is one country, it has been divided into many factions: Space Marines, Sisters of Battle, Imperial Guard, Inquisition and several others. Henry Cavill has set himself a huge challenge, which we will watch closely.
