He caused a scandal at Eurovision. Joost Klein returned and unleashed the storm again

The title itself strongly suggests what we will deal with, because Eurovision 2024 was guided by the slogan “United by Music”, which was quickly used against the organizers. Especially when we talk about the disqualification of Joost. Starting, however, from this non -musical side of the album, a lot of pins are smuggled towards the organizers. Even opening “Why Not ???”which refers to the words of Joost from a memorable press conference. Above all, however, it is worth quoting a piece “United by Music”which caused a lot of confusion.

He invited to cooperate on him Tommi Cashwhich this year will represent Estonia with the song “Espresso macchiata”. Joost does not change in words and already in the first verses of his verse starts with “F*ck ebu” (EBU – the European Union of Senders, which is responsible for the organization of Eurovision). There are also accusations of hypocrisy in the chorus – “I Want to Fly to Kyiv and Go to Moscow” or “I Wanna Vote Kamala and Also Vote Trump”. Although the whole song ends with a loosely thrown “This song is so funny, it’s not that deep”, everyone undoubtedly knows what the authors meant.

While Joost’s frustration is most understandable, I wonder if Tommi’s guest participation will not prevent him from achieving a good result in this year’s Eurovision. Such a strong criticism of the organizers, although many may be liked, may not put him in a good light, despite the fact that they are presented as one of the favorites. But in May we will see how the audience receives the entire performance of Tommi.

Leaving political topics, the album offers a lot of party electronic music. There was also a Eurovision song “Europapa”accompanied by a brilliant, irony skit “Epiphany of Love: The Origin”. There are also numerous rave moments like “Gabberland”, “Filthy dog” Whether “We’ll Meet Again”which really defined the shape of this album. This can contrast with the well -known “Europapa”, but it is in these climates that Joost feels best. However, there is one raisin that stands out in style, written fully in Dutch – “Discozwism”. On a very pleasant guitar foundation, it allows you to breathe from this multitude of electronic sounds.

He also found himself on “Unity” “Frisengjung” – Hit published in 2023, which a year before Eurovision initiated the growing popularity of Joost in Europe.

Despite the fact that political topics are unrefiast from “Unity”, it has really good moments. It reminds me of its style “People’s Champion” from another Eurovision star – Käärijä. Both of these albums can get tired a lot, but they have several songs to which you want to come back. Although they come from hip-hop environments, electronics are an extremely catchy morsel for them, which is selling best.
