HBO Max is removing the hit comedy from its library. Only a few days left

In the movie “Air” Ben Affleck and Matt Damon tells the incredible but true story of Nike’s Sonny Vaccaro and Phil Knight. When the men ran a yet unknown company producing running shoes, they decided to encourage one of the most famous athletes – the brilliant basketball player and NBA star Michael Jordan – to cooperate with them. The film shows how the men tried to convince Michael Jordan, who in 1985 became the face of a clothing collection bearing his name, to cooperate. It was the first such collaboration in history and led Nike to unprecedented success.

The script for the film about Nike was based on a script included in the infamous 2021 Black List. We’re talking about “Air Jordan” by Alex Convery. Ben Affleck serves as director, the script is a joint work of Affleck and Damon, who also act as producers of the picture and played the main characters. “Air” also starred Jason Bateman, Chris Messina, Julius Tennon and Chris Tucker.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have been friends for many years. In 1998, they received an Oscar for the best screenplay for the film “Good Will Hunting”, which they both wrote.

“Air” is currently available on HBO Max, but only for just a few more days. The title will disappear from the library on November 11. The production can also be watched on the Prime Video platform as part of a subscription.
