“Grimm” is a dark crime series created between 2011 and 2017, referring to the fairy tales of famous German fairy tale writers. In each episode, Portland homicide detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) has a police mystery to solve, all of which have a fairy tale connection, but not all of which have a happy ending.
According to the latest information, a film reboot of the popular production is being prepared, and the creators of the original are involved in the new project. At the moment, we do not know the details of the upcoming production, but we know that it will be related to the original series and there will be plenty of Easter eggs for fans of the series.
If the new project meets with audience interest, it may become the beginning of a franchise.
The script will be written by Josh Berman (“Bones”, “CSI”), who is also an executive producer. The creators of the original, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, will also join the group. The film is being produced for Universal Television.
Gifted with an analytical mind, Burkhardt begins to experience terrifying hallucinations – he sees how seemingly normal people transform into beasts that attack ordinary mortals.
He learns from his only living relative that he is a descendant of a legendary group of hunters called Grimm. Their task is to prevent the expansion of evil creatures that have infiltrated our world and are hiding in human form. Only Burkhardt can spot these creatures and effectively oppose them. Trying to protect his fiancée from danger, he begins to combine his existing duties with new challenges. In his struggles, he can count on a converted monster, the “big bad wolf”, known as Eddie Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), and his partner, Lieutenant Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby).
