Paradise Lost: “Ascension”. This is how the team talks about the album
“Ascension” (ascension) is a cavalcade of misery, filled with strong sadness strolling through the vile world of glorious triumph and pathetic tragedy, “he says Nickname HolmesFrontman Paradise Lost.
“The title of the album comes from the belief in joining a better place, fictitious from Earth to heaven, with all the requirements that are associated with it. In the real world, people often try to get to some better place from birth, trying to be better, regardless of the fact that the only reward, as they are waiting, is death” – explains the vocalist of the famous group from the city of Halfax in English West Yorkshire.
“The lyrics relate to everything that lives in front of us. And that it is impossible to predict this, it can also arouse terror. How people deal with death, how groundbreaking life experiences affect their psyche – these questions have always aroused curiosity” – analyzes Holmes, who has also been standing at the microphone in a death metal supergroup Bloodbath from Sweden.
“After 35 years, everything goes consciously. With such a rich and diverse discography, it’s hard not to be one hundred percent sure where it all comes from, but ultimately it just comes down to whether we like the music we create or not. If so, then it stays! Here nothing has changed since the time when we were teenagers. Paradoxically, a grim, he is always listening to teenagers. The most pleasant, and probably also applies to its composing ” – with a smile adds a 54 -year -old singer and one of the founders of Paradise Lost.
