“Three days full of concerts and meetings, over 100 performers playing on several stages, and yet this year we managed to present only some of the great artists and directions followed by new Polish music. In 2024 we will return with another strong portion – for the third time. edition of the Great September Festival” – thus the originator and artistic director of the event – Artur Rojek – invites you to participate in Great September Showcase Festival & Conference.
The two previous editions of the festival turned out to be a huge success. They attracted the most interesting debuting artists, as well as those who have been known to the wider public for a long time. There are no genre or age restrictions – anyone who wants to present themselves can get such a chance.
The festival program is complemented by various panels, workshops and interviews with the most popular Polish performers and other music industry employees. The organizers also invite you to film screenings and exhibitions presenting the richness of native music and its creators. Everything is embedded in the inspiring space of Łódź – in 2023, concerts and meetings took place around one of the most famous streets in Poland, Piotrkowska, on stages set up in clubs, pubs, galleries and even backyards.
The festival organizers announced the first artists who will perform on Łódź stages in March. It turned out that this year was the festival's 65th birthday and 45th anniversary of debut “Don't Cry” will celebrate Stanisław Soyka – a wonderful singer and composer. He will perform with the company on Great September Grott Orchestra. The organizers also announced the performance Cortez – the owner of one of the most interesting voices in the country. The rap scene will also have its representatives. Artists such as: OtsochódWhether Tonfa. In addition, the announcement included bands such as: Coals, Oxford DramaWhether Wholesale.
The Łódź festival has just announced new artists who will appear on the Great September stages in September. A dozen or so new names have joined the line-up. Among them there are musicians who just want to make it in the music world and few people know their achievements so far. These include: team Knives, ZutaWhether Cool. However, the announcement also includes other well-known names. He will perform at the festival Mr. Savyanwhich became popular thanks to its viral hit “In the color of amaretto” (check).
Mr. Savyan recently appeared on the show TVN “Got Talent”. The jurors especially did not like his hit Julia Wieniawa, who compared it to disco polo. The artist previously took part in this year's preselections Eurovision. He took 18th place, tying with the legendary Edyta Górniak.
The famous band that will also take part in the new edition of Great September is Apple Blossom. It is a sister-brother folk duo that they create Catherine and Jacek Sienkiewicz. They have already performed several times at the largest festivals in Poland – including: on Pol'and'Rock Festival. They are known for their energetic performances and dance sounds that are heard on more and more radio stations in Poland.
A second wave of Great September announcements also revealed participation Daria from Silesia in the festival. The artist caused quite a stir on the alternative scene thanks to her songs “False start or foul” and “Girl with a tatoo”. She was considered by many to be the discovery of 2023. In 2024, she was awarded two Fryderyk Awards. Her debut album “Daria from Silesia was here” she honestly talks about what is close to the singer and what happened to her in life. She had the opportunity to perform on one of the Great September stages – during the first edition of the festival. This year he returns to play a new album for his fans “No changes in the south”.
