FEST Festival 2023 was to be the fourth edition of the festival organized in the Silesian Park. The event enjoyed huge interest and many participants were disappointed with the information about the collapse of the agency.
“Today is the most painful day in the history of FEST Festival. With a heavy heart, we have to inform you that unfortunately this year we are forced to cancel the festival and we will not be able to spend these beautiful moments together in Silesian Park,” was the statement of the organizers.
The creators ran out of 5 million zlotys to organize the entire event. By initiating bankruptcy proceedings, the would-be participants began to suspect that the chance of recovering the costs of the tickets was slim. Less than a year after the event, the Going. agency informed the owners of unused tickets that it would refund them the money from its own funds. Until now, only people who purchased them via the eBilet platform have received the funds.
Going. Agency to Refund Unused Tickets for Cancelled FEST Festival 2023
On July 22, Going. informed would-be attendees of FEST Festival 2023 about a surprising decision it had made. In an email to ticket holders, it announced a refund for tickets for the canceled event, even though the organizer should have done so.
“After the cancellation of the Festival by the organizer – i.e. Fest Festival sp. z o. o. – Going. refunded you the service fee that it collected as an intermediary. The responsibility for the ticket prices in this case lay with the event organizer. Despite this, Going. decided to return these funds, i.e. the full amount for the purchased tickets, from its own funds“
The agency revealed the details of resolving this situation related to the change of management.
“Our priority is building relationships based on trust with recipients. We want Going. customers to always feel that we are a responsible, proven partner, and therefore our website and app are the best places to buy tickets for events,” we read.
It announces that some people can expect an automatic refund within 14 business days. However, this will not be the case for payments made by Blik, so these people will receive a separate email asking for the necessary information.
The agency’s hotline informed that if the above-mentioned email is not received, please contact filling out the contact form located on the Going website. There you should select the “Other” topic, then describe the situation and enter the ticket number for verification.
At some point it turned out that Going. will not return money to peoplewho purchased tickets from the FEST Festival website.
“I bought a ticket through the Festa website, but the operator was Going., the payment was collected by you and all the ticket purchase confirmations have your huge logo. I don’t understand why I’m not entitled to a refund,” we read in the agency’s Facebook comments.
