When these plans did not take place, the British decided to change the starting idea and shorten it by several threads to make a cinema film.

“I’ve always wanted to look at various social extremes in Great Britain and the United States on the occasion of good entertainment cinema,” says Ritchie. “Over the years, my heroes have matured and began to look for luxurious pleasures, despite the fact that they were still criminals (…). Such a contrast gives a lot of possibilities.”

“These tough guys are ready for everything, but they understood years after years that they would like something more than life, that they deserve something for all the blood, sweat and tears on the streets and dark alleys” – continues the creator of “gentlemen”.

“In this film they stand at the crossroads between two extremely different worlds, realizing that they will no longer be able to exist in both of them, but on the other hand the decision does not belong only to them. The title refers to their social and consumer aspirations and class dreams, but the truth is that you won’t see too many gentlemen on the screen,” Ritchie summarizes.
