“Forrest Gump” directed Robert Zemeckis this a cinema classicwhich tells the touching story of a young man with a big heart and an incredible ability to find his way through the greatest events in US history. Tom Hanks plays the title character, Forrest Gump, who, despite his low IQ, achieves incredible successes – from becoming a football star, through being a decorated war hero, to becoming a successful businessman. Throughout his life, Forrest searches for what is most important to him – the love of his friend, Jenny Curran (Robin Wright).
Over the years, Forrest unintentionally becomes involved in the most important events of the 20th century, meeting legendary people and visiting various places – from the football field, through the jungles of Vietnam, to the White House. In his moving and humorous stories, he shares these extraordinary experiences with random people he meets. The main roles, alongside Tom Hanks, are Robin Wright as Jenny Curran and Gary Sinise as Lieutenant Dan Taylor. The film was awarded 6 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
