Films with original narratives of Masłowska and Andrus from March 7 throughout Poland

On Friday, March 7, the nationwide distribution of films with original narratives will begin in study cinemas throughout Poland. At the beginning, the audience will watch the Luna cinema “It’s just rock”. After the film there will be a meeting with the participation of the director, Paweł Karpiński and Dorota Masłowska, the author of the narrative for the film.

On the same day (March 7) “It’s just rock” You will be able to see in Warsaw’s Kinoteka and in the Poznań Rialto cinema, and in the following days also in Krakow, Szczecin, Katowice and Bialystok.

The distribution of films with original narratives is the result of cooperation between the Studio Cinema Association and the Correlations Festival. The productions are shown in an innovative formula – the plot is accompanied by a comment created by the creators invited to the project.

“This is a kind of subjective guiding around the film, interpreting it in a free, often emotional way, so that everyone – also people with visual or hearing limitations – watch the film through the eyes of the narrator” – he explains Piotr Krzykwa, director of the Correlations festival.

Tournée is also a great opportunity to see Polish films from the 1960s, 70s or 80s on the big screen.

“Author’s narratives allow you to read the film works again, through the prism of contemporary culture and often other standards, but always with humor and a certain dose of nostalgia. We strongly believe that the shows will again arouse fashion in the viewers on the often old -school cinema and will be an opportunity to delve into the history of Polish cinematography,” he says Marlena Gabryszewska, president of the Association of Studio Cinemas.

The screening of the film by Paweł Karpiński, the director of the series “Klan” or “In the maze”, will also be part of the re -opening days of the opening of the Warsaw cinema Luna. The narrative of Dorota Masłowska will lead the audience through the meanders of the Polish rock scene of the 1980s – the film includes Lady Pank, deserter or closed unit.

“For us, this show will be a kind of buckle of the non -existence of Luna’s cinema, because one of the last shows that took place in this cinema before the closure, in June 2024, was ‘Wilczyca’ with the narrative of Dorota Masłowska, who, by the way, enjoyed great interest” – he adds Marlena Gabryszewska.
