Filming Locations of ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’

Mystery fans have a reason to celebrate as the limited series, The Last Thing He Told Me, has finally premiered its first two episodes on Apple TV+. Based on Laura Dave’s novel, the show follows Hannah (played by Jennifer Garner) as she teams up with her stepdaughter Bailey (played by Angourie Rice) to unravel the mystery of her husband Owen’s (played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) sudden disappearance. The series was filmed in California and Texas, precisely where the story takes place.

One exciting feature of the show is Hannah and Bailey’s floating house in Sausalito, California, a community located across from the Golden Gate strait in San Francisco. This community comprises more than 400 houseboats and floating homes that are situated across five residential marinas in Marin Country. According to TV Guide, the production team filmed scenes there, as well as in Austin, Texas.

In Texas, the University of Texas at Austin was used for some scenes. Garner mentioned that she loved being on campus, especially since her father is an Aggie. They even went on a little boat ride that looked like a tiny car on their first night there and watched the river flow by.

The filming crew and cast were seen shooting scenes on Lady Bird Lake (previously known as Town Lake) and Butterfly Bridge in Austin. We can expect more information soon about the fantastic locations used in the series, including some exclusive details about the behind-the-scenes set designs. Don’t forget to watch the new episodes that will be released every Friday on Apple TV+ until May 19.
