Movie Marcin Koszałka It is also a story of love and dispute between the Zawrat brothers: the older Maciek (Julian Świeżewski) and the younger Jędrek (Filip Pławiak). Jędrek loves Bronka (Sandra Drzymalska), but by the elders’ decision she is issued for Maciek. Wounded and proud Jędrek escapes to Krakow, where he goes to the world of the local bohemia. A beautiful painter, Helena (Wiktoria Gorodecka), fascinated by a handsome and rebellious highlander, gets into an affair with him. Pławiak’s hero is one of the highlanders who is involved in collaboration with Germany.
Filip Pławiak in an interview with Interia after the Eagle District told about the role in “White Clearing”. In the process of creating character, it was important to him to create an ambiguous figure and at the same time one whose motivations can be understood.
“For me, it was very important to understand this hero and try to defend him. The key point at all was that we never know how we would behave in these dramatic circumstances. (…) I had to imagine what my hero would do in such moments. What motivations accompanied him. I found a lot of these motivations. I found it all.
In the same conversation, the laureate of the Eagle revealed that This year you will be able to see it in international production.
“Another film with my participation in autumn. It will be a very interesting Polish -Greek production. In an international cast – Oscarowa” – he confessed.
