The modern face of Dubai is built by skyscrapers, extensive business districts and urban projects implemented on a scale unprecedented in other parts of the world. Towering over the city is Burj Khalifa – the tallest building on the planet, which reminds us that scale is not an addition, but the foundation of thinking about space.
However, the city is developing in many directions: from tourism and trade, through ecological investments, to cultural and sports events. Oil has long been no longer the main source of income.
In addition to architectural icons, there are green recreational areas, promenades and autonomous transport infrastructure. Sandy beaches are available to everyone, and relaxing on the turquoise waters of the Persian Gulf does not require checking into multi-star hotels.
Dubai’s character is also created by places designed as experiences – viewpoints, futuristic museums, science centers, thematic gardens and entertainment complexes. In the heart of the desert, projects combining technology with nature are being created, such as the tropical Green Planet biodome.
The city is also an oasis for people from all over the world – over 200 nationalities contribute to its daily rhythm, which is best observed by going for an evening walk along the illuminated Dubai marina.
You can’t get bored in this city. A palm-shaped island, desert safari, indoor skiing, giant shopping malls and record-breaking attractions are just a piece of the puzzle. Dubai is just getting started and is making it clear that its ambitions reach much further than the horizon. It is a metropolis that does not stop at the records it has achieved, but treats them as a starting point. See for yourself!
