“We are saddened by the news of Eric Dane’s passing. He was an incredible talent and HBO was fortunate to work with him on three seasons of ‘Euphoria’. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time,” reads a statement from HBO.
“I can’t think about the twinkle in Eric’s eye the moment before he said something that completely changed your point of view or made you spit out your drink,” Alyssa Milano wrote in an Instagram post. Dane appeared in several episodes of the series “Charmed”, of which she was the star. “He had a razor-sharp sense of humor. He loved the absurd and fooling people when they least expected it. When it came to his daughters and wife Rebecca, he became nicer. He always carried it with him. You could feel the change in his voice when he said their names. A beautiful, breathtaking family.”
“He was warm, generous, prepared and passionate in what he did. He was guided by kindness and made everyone on the set feel appreciated. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a cruel and merciless disease. May his memory inspire further research, awareness and progress in the search for a cure. I will miss him very much.
