On the occasion of the premiere of the documentary production, we talked to Edyta Górniak about the ups and downs of fame. What was her morning like on the eve of the big premiere? How did her son react to the production? And what message would the star like to leave viewers with?
Edyta Górniak celebrates the premiere of the documentary film. “I want people to be comforted.”
“I cannot compare the experience of this film with anything I know, especially today, as the culmination of three years of work, is unique. I am no longer bound by the confidentiality clause, I can talk openly about this project. I am looking for myself in this space. I am full of gratitude and humility. I am happy, these are great emotions,” Edyta Górniak told Interia Muzyka.
“Allan didn’t watch the film before the premiere. Only people who co-created the whole thing saw it. My son saw a fragment because he wrote music for one of the fragments, but that’s all. He reacted interestingly – it was a more difficult meeting for me when we watched the editing material, because I don’t know myself like that, so I got to know myself again. My Allan was very supportive in all this: ‘Mom, you’re like that, it’s nice for people to know that’. Very natural. He approached this project responsibly and seriously” – added the singer.
What message would Edyta Górniak want to leave the viewers of her documentary with? The artist announced clearly: “My biggest dream is for people to be in a space of warmth, normality and peace after watching the film, for this project to have a soothing effect. This is not a reportage that has different rules – the cameras are with me in the most normal situations, which people may not suspect me of, because for most of these thirty-five years, hardly anyone thought I was normal. I would like people to be soothed, to feel close to their own stories. We go through different, but similar schools”.
