Disturbed concluded the European tour with a performance at The OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. This is how the American nu metal legend celebrated the 25th anniversary of his album “The Sickness”. Concerts – including those at Tauron Arena Kraków on October 10 – were divided into two parts. During the first one, the group played the entire material from their debut, and after the break they reached for their greatest hits.
“Thank you to EVERYONE who made the ‘TheSickness25’ tour truly unforgettable! The crew, management, promoters and ESPECIALLY my brothers from Disturbed,” the singer announced on social media David Draiman.
“I’m not sure when we’ll go again. We all need a long, nice break. I hope to see you when that happens,” the Disturbed frontman added unexpectedly.
Speculation immediately began that the suspension of concert activities for an indefinite period was the result of the recent controversy related to Draiman’s statements. Disturbed’s concert in Brussels, scheduled for October 15, was canceled almost at the last minute by the city’s mayor, who cited a “security risk.”
Earlier, the singer was booed during a memorable farewell Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath in Birmingham. It was about his unequivocal support of Israel in the Middle East conflict.
In turn, the final concert of the tour in Glasgow was met with numerous protests by pro-Palestinian activists.
The album concludes Disturbed’s achievements so far “Divisive” from November 2022. In February this year, the group also released a new single “I Will Not Break”and Draiman revealed that the band has “tons of new music” up their sleeve.
