Dewey is not the only delayer of the late character who will appear in the seventh installment of the popular horror series. Viewers will also see Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley. They both played in masked killers in the first and third part of the series.
Arquette debuted as a somewhat clumsy, but full of good intentions a policeman in the first “scream” from 1996. He quickly became a favorite of fans. Some of them did not accept the fact that he died in The fifth installment of the series at the hands of Amber Freeman. Mikey Madison playing her, who took the Oscar a few days ago “Anora”she admitted in one of the interviews that she was still regretting her because of Dewey’s death.
Did the policeman deceive death or will he appear only in flashbacks? This is not known.
In addition to Arquette, Lillard and Foley in “Scream VII”, known from previous parts of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown will perform. New faces will join them, including Isabel May, Joel Mchale, Anna Camp, Mark Consuelos, Ethan Embry, Asa Germann, McKenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor and Rechner himself. Roger L. Jackson will again give a voice to the masked killer Ghostface.
Kevin Williamson, the originator of the series, stood behind the camera. The script was written by Guy Busick. Photos for the film began on January 7 and will last until March 12, 2025. “Krzyk VII” will enter theaters on February 27, 2026.
