Cardinals preparing for the conclave reached for the Hollywood tale. It turns out that Edward Berger’s production is interesting not only for secular viewers, but also clergy.
A conversation with a person involved in conducting the entire procedure appeared on the Politico.eu portal. The man revealed that many cardinals treated production like a guide about the mysterious process of choosing a new pope. The Vatican priest said that many people consider him extremely realistic, which makes him become a key reference point and help for the time of preparation.
A large part of the purple people who will take part in the vote were elected by Pope Francis himself. As in the production of “conclave”, many of them come from less known dioceses from around the world.

Edward Berger’s work is distinguished by an excellent script, an intense atmosphere and delightful acting creations. The cast includes Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, Carlos Diehz, Lucian Msamati and Isabella Rossellini. There was also a Polish accent – Jacek Koman also played in one of the roles, who we can know, among others from “Suicide Helo -Hejter”, “Love and dance”, “Moulin Rouge!”, “Resistance” or the series “Doctors”.
The “conclave” was awarded as many as eight Oscar nominations. He won the best adapted script in the category. In addition, Berger’s film just after the death of Pope Francis noted an increase in interest by 283% on American VOD services. On April 20 and 21, it was played in total for 6.9 million minutes.
Until now, the film “Conclave” could only be watched as a loan. Soon it will go to the subscription offer of one of the platforms. The “conclave” will be available on Prime Video from May 30.
