In 2023 for the second time in a row Pol'and'Rock Festival took place in Czaplinek (Broczyno airport) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in Drawsko County, between the Drawsko and Czaplino lakes. According to declarations from a year ago, this is where the 30th anniversary edition will be organized.
Already then, in 2023, Jurek Owsiak and his team invited participants to the next edition – the festival will take place on August 1-3. Many participants hope that the anniversary will be grand and special. According to estimates, last year's edition attracted several hundred thousand fans. Will the organizers manage to beat this result?
So far, we have met mainly foreign stars – an American metalcore group will play in Czaplinek Motionless in White (Look)German formation Electric Callboy (listen)which combines electronic music, pop and heavy rock sounds, a French celtic-punk band Celkiltexotic Myrath from Tunisia, Americans from Less Than Jakea family trio from Mexico – The Warninga German group Guano Apeslegend of the New York hardcore scene – Sick Of It Allteam Flapjackcombining thrash metal, rapcore, hardcore and punk, and the Swedish group returning to Jurek Owsiak's party after 15 years Clawfinger.
Famous Polish artists will also perform during the Pol'and'Rock Festival. She was among them Kasia Kowalska – a legend of the domestic rock music scene. This year marks 30 years since her spectacular recording debut. The legend of Polish hip-hop will also perform on the Big Stage in Czaplinek – Pactofonics. The group debuted with an album “Cinematography” in 2000, but the band's career was interrupted by the death of the band's founder – Magician.
Additionally, he will perform on a small stage Mery Spolsky – a total artist for whom performing at Pol'and'Rock was a great dream. We will also hear Zenek Kupatasawho is a long-time friend of the event, and many fans look forward to his energetic performance.
On April 22, new announcements appeared on Pol'and'Rock Festival social media. “A band that, after a break of several years, this year has really come together to play a few concerts again – including for our most beautiful audience!” – announced the organizers on Facebook. The group that joined the festival line-up is Coma (Look).
Coma is one of the most popular rock bands on the Polish scene. The team from Łódź became famous for their singles “I'm going down” and “Leszek Żukowski”. Coma's musicians have won six Fryderyk awards and six songs that reached the top 10 Three's Hit Charts. In 2019, they performed a farewell tour, titled “Game Over”, and then announced the suspension of their activities. The performance at Pol'and'Rock is therefore a huge surprise for the fans who cannot hide their satisfaction.
Over 7,000 people appeared under the Pol'and'Rock post with the announcement. reactions and 900 comments. “MEGA MEGA MEGA OUT!”, “Something beautiful, but I hope they play a lot of old songs”, “Well, I understand such an announcement!”, “Excellent!
