“Chyłka” is a series adaptation of the best-selling novels by Remigiusz Mróz. The main character is the title character Chyłka, a feisty and unconventional lawyer. This character was brilliantly played by a famous theater and film actress Magdalena Cielecka. She was accompanied on screen by trainee Kordian “Zordon” Oryński, whom he played Filip Pławiak. The series also featured: Katarzyna Warnke, Michał Żurawski, Jakub Gierszał, Jacek Koman and Piotr Głowacki.
The book story has as many as 14 volumes, and its television version has five seasons. The first installment, which debuted on the Player platform in December 2018, turned out to be a huge success. The story of Joanna Chyłka and her assistant Oryński was at that time the most watched original production in the history of the website.
“Chyłka” is another Player series (after “Szadzia”), which will soon be available on the HBO Max platform. First, the first two seasons of the production will be released. The first installment presents the story of the Szlezyngier family and their missing daughter. When they become the main suspects, Chyłka and Zordon take on the role of their attorney.
In the second season, lawyers from the Żelazny & McVay law firm undertake the defense of Piotr Langer Junior, accused of a brutal murder.
