Movie “Peasants” hit cinemas on October 13, 2023 and immediately won the hearts of viewers. On its 1st birthday, instead of a traditional concert, there will be a musical and dance spectacle. Lukasz LUC Rostkowski – author of the captivating music for the film DK Welchman and Hugh Welchman – with a remix of “The End of Summer” he opens the electro-folk project “Peasants Dance – Remixed”where the most interesting remixes will be presented. Premiere at Torwar on October 13th.
“End of summer” is the first single from the soundtrack to the film “Chłopi” that has been released electronically. Delicate female vocals (Kasia Sienkiewicz from Kwiat Jabłoni, Bela Komoszyńska and Karolina Skrzyńska), and subtle sounds of Jacek Sienkiewicz’s mandolin combined with synthetic sound create a dance and trance whole. LUC proves once again that there are no genre boundaries for him in music.
“While working on ‘Chłopi’ we decided to capture the atmosphere of hand-painted paintings and record the soundtrack entirely acoustically. For many years, however, I have been fascinated by the combination of traditional instruments and folk songs with electronics. On the occasion of the film’s first birthday, I decided to return to the knobs and synthesizers and join the group of people who spontaneously started remixing this soundtrack,” says Łukasz LUC Rostkowski.
“By creating this special birthday edition, we want to thank the people for over 60 million views and streams, for how incredibly they brought this music to life with their dance challenges, tik-toks and remixes. ‘Koniec lata’ opens a series of remixes, the grand finale of which will be the digital album ‘Chłopi Tańcuj – Remixed’ and our new, multimedia dance show,” adds the composer.
“We want everyone to leave Torwar charged with strong energy that will last through the winter months, because this is the last chance this year to hear the music from ‘Chłopi’ under the charismatic baton of LUC live in Poland,” admits Hugh Welchman.
On October 13th, the following bands will perform at Torwar in Warsaw: Apple Blossom, Bela Komoszyńska, Kayah, Julia Wieniawa, Song Laboratory and Kamila Urzędowska in the company of dozens of dancers, shows of new painting animations and new electronic arrangements LUC & Rebel Babel Film Orchestra.
