According to Variety, work on the transfer of the popular game “Call of Duty” is in full swing. The project is being supervised by Paramount and Activision by renowned creators – Peter Berg and Taylor Sheridan.
Taylor Sherdian is the creator of many Paramount hits – “Yellowstone”, “Tulsa King”, “The Mayor of Kingstown”, “Landman: The Negotiator”, “Lioness”. Last week, news circulated in the media that in 2029, the creator would start cooperation with NBC Universal and end his adventure with his previous partner. However, it looks like Sheridan and Paramonut will have a few more new projects in the works by then.
The script for the film based on a series of first-person shooter games will be written by Sheridan, and director Peter Berg (“Friday Night Lights”, “The Element: Deepwater Horizon”, “The Kingdom”, the series “America’s Dawn”) will be behind the camera of the project.
This is not the only adaptation of popular computer games. Film adaptations of Playstation titles are being prepared: “Horizon: Zero Dawn”, “Ghost of Tsushima” directed by Chad Stahelski (“John Wick”), “Days Gone” directed by Sheldon Turner and films based on “Gravity Rush”, “Helldivers 2”, “Ghost of Tsushima: Legends”. In addition, among others: “The Legend of Zelda”, “Split Fiction”, “Gears of War”, “BioShock”, “Stray” and productions from the “Assassin’s Creed” universe. In addition, the second part of the movie “Minecraft”, which turned out to be one of the biggest hits of this year, new seasons of “Fallout”, “The Last of Us”, and the animated “Tomb Raider” and “Splinter Cell: Deathwatch”.
