BTS’s Jungkook lookalike contest in Chicago has divided fans. Here’s who won

The winner of the Chicago competition was YouTuber from Los Angeles, Andrew Alexander. The prize for winning was a bottle of Korean soju drink and $20.

The winner stood out not only for their physical resemblance, but also for their outfit and styling details. He was wearing a white oversize T-shirt, a black quilted jacket and gray acid-wash jeans. Additionally, he took care of Jungkook’s characteristic hand tattoos and earrings.

Andrew Alexander, who runs a YouTube channel with about 260,000 subscribers, gained the attention of BTS fans four years ago when he published a video in which he styled himself as Jungkook.

Andrew’s sister wrote on social media that the YouTuber flew from California especially for the competition.

BTS fans’ opinions about the competition and its winner were mixed. Some noticed a certain similarity, others pointed out that the accuracy in reproducing the artist’s tattoos and piercings was more impressive.

The fashion for organizing celebrity lookalike competitions is becoming more and more visible. A similar event took place recently in New York – a competition was organized to find a lookalike of actor Timothée Chalamet, and the star himself appeared on the spot.

Another competition of this type is planned for December, this time dedicated to Marek from the NCT band. It will take place on December 13 in New York, and this time the prize will be… a watermelon.
