“Can You Hear Me” is a catchy, lively composition in which w Beyond The Black by Jennifer Haben she sang a duet with Asamivocalist of an all-female heavy/power metal band Lovebites from Japan. The new single talks about the difficulties of finding understanding in an increasingly noisy and false world, and its universal message is emphasized by the fact that it was sung in both Japanese and English.
“‘Can You Hear Me’ is a song about a common longing for a true bond – two voices from different worlds break through the noise of a chaotic world connected by ubiquitous technology to finally be heard,” said Jennifer Haben about the new single.
“Performing ‘Can You Hear Me’ with Beyond The Black made me very happy. It’s a moving piece, and working on it together in different countries and different cultural contexts was an inspiring experience. We hope this message reaches people regardless of where they come from,” added Asami, who was born in Hokkaido.
