Bartek Wrona years ago, he won the hearts of teenagers from all over Poland thanks to his performances with a boy band Just 5. The band broke popularity records in our country in the late 1990s. The group members were selected through a professional casting. The formation was to be modeled on foreign boy bands such as Backstreet Boyswhich won the hearts of many fans in those years.
Just 5’s debut album “Colorful Dreams” it went double platinum, and the title single became a big hit. The band released two more albums – “Enchanted World” and “Shadows of Big Cities” – then in 1999 the members decided to discontinue their activities.
After many years, Bartek Wrona reminded the Polish audience of himself thanks to his participation in the latest season of the program “Your Face Sounds Familiar”. He took part in the 21st edition of the show, episodes of which viewers can currently watch on Polsat. Unfortunately, it turns out that the singer will be forced to leave the program. He is unable to make it to the grand final due to health problems.
Viewers will see Bartek Wrona’s stage actions for the last time in the upcoming, fifth episode of the series, because it has already been recorded. Later, the singer will appear as a guest in the grand finale.
Bartek Wrona’s health condition has recently deteriorated, which prevents him from performing. The artist has been struggling with a chronic disease for years. According to doctors’ recommendations, he should rest a lot. Preparations for the “Your Face Sounds Familiar” program involve enormous effort and many hours of choreographic and vocal training, which is not advisable in the case of Bartek’s current condition. The decision to suspend recordings with his participation was made jointly by the creators of the program, the singer himself and his management.
“As soon as we learned about Bartek’s health situation, we analyzed it very carefully and We decided together that we would meet as a group only in the final episodeand the extended time for rest will certainly allow Bartek to regain full strength to meet us and the viewers of our program again. This is the first such a difficult decision in the history of ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’. We are currently in the production cycle and we do not hide the fact that we miss Bartek, who has become part of our big family,” said the program’s producer. Artur Patkowski.
“‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’ is the most artistically demanding entertainment program on the Polish market. Preparations for each episode require many hours of work on vocals, dance and artistic expression, as well as many hours devoted to full make-up, heavy rehearsals on stage, and finally, stressful live performance. The health and comfort of participants’ work in such conditions is our priority,” said the second producer, Pascal Litwin.
Production of the program “Your Face Sounds Familiar” does not plan to replace Bartek Wrona. Further episodes of the show will be recorded with a reduced lineup. In turn, the singer’s agent assures him that he will be provided with appropriate care, thanks to which he will be able to return to the stage soon. “Bartek is under excellent medical carehe had a medical procedure that will allow him to fully return to all his artistic duties in the fall of this year,” he said.
