Barry Keoghan informed about the reasons why he decided to delete his account from Instagram in a lengthy message on the X website.
“My name has been dragged across the internet in a way I don’t usually respond to. This time I have to respond because we are reaching a point where too many issues intersect. I have deactivated my account because I can no longer let these things distract me from family and work,” wrote the actor.
“No person should receive the messages that were sent to me. Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting comments about my appearance, my character, the kind of parent I am, and other inhumane things you can imagine. My good name and everything was tarnished. what I worked for an extremely long time and what I fought for,” Keoghan noted.
The artist also deleted his account because of his son, born in 2022. The man does not want the child to encounter unfavorable comments from his father in the future.
“I work harder every day to become the healthiest and strongest person for this boy. I want to give him the opportunity to learn, fail and grow. I want him to be able to respect his dad, have complete trust in me and know that I support him no matter what.” for everything.
