Considered pioneers of American metalcore As I Lay Dying announced the premiere of their eighth album. “Through Storms Ahead” will be released on November 15, 2024 by Napalm Records.
A new single has already hit the web “We Are The Dead” (described as the “torn metalcore anthem of the year”), recorded with vocalists Alex Terrible (Slaughter to Prevail) and Tom Barbera (Chelsea Grin, Darko). Both vocalists also appear in the music video (Look!!).
“‘We Are The Dead’ represents the more brutal territory of our new album, emphasizing our thrash tendencies that we still like to mix with our more melodic sound. I think it’s the most relentless song we’ve ever achieved in terms of aggression, and who better to join us in style than two of the finest deathcore artists, Alex Terrible of Slaughter to Prevail and Tom Barber of Chelsea Grin. Thanks to our collaborator Tom Flynnfor joining us and making another visually creative venture for this song,” says the guitarist Phil Sgrossowho also co-produced “Through Storms Ahead” (with Hiram Hernandez).
As I Lay Dying returns to Poland. Who will appear at the concert?
On November 15, the European tour will start in Germany, on which the band will also be accompanied by local masters of technical death metal from Decapitatedmetalcore veterans from Caliban and an American deathcore band Ov Sulfurwho released their latest, blasphemous and provocative album “Untruth” in August.
