Anita Lipnicka and John Porter are together again. The occasion was special

“We are very happy about this, because this album is particularly dear to both of us. It brings back beautiful memories and is a testimony to an extraordinary moment in our lives,” he emphasizes. Anita Lipnicka.

“Being open and honest is still a real indecency these days,” he adds John Porter.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the album’s release “Dirty Songs” the release was re-released on double vinyl.

In 2002, the artistic cooperation between Anita Lipnicka and John Porter began. Former singer VariusManx and a Welsh musician living in Poland since the mid-1970s, originally recorded one song “For You” (listen!), which was supposed to be included on the album Porter Band.

It quickly turned out that the duo was preparing a joint album, and Lipnicka and Porter also became a couple privately. “I can’t build my life according to the ideas of others” – this is how the singer cut off all negative comments about her relationship with Porter, who is 25 years her senior.

The album “Obvious Songs” (2003), recorded in London, turned out to be a great success. Songs “Bones of Love” and “Then and Now” (listen!) dominated the charts, the album went platinum (over 100,000 copies sold) and earned the duo a Fryderyk award.

Subsequent releases – albums “Inside Story” (2005) i “Goodbye” (2008) and a mini-album “Other Stories” (2006) – were also successful. After the release of “Goodbye” the duo Lipnicka & Porter ceased operations. Their private relationship also did not survive time, which broke up in 2015. The couple raises their 17-year-old daughter, Pola. The singer married a British man in 2016 Mark Grey.
